Moeller Aerospace Achieves 16% Increase in Throughput After Deploying FactoryTwin’s Digital Twin and S&OP Platform

Ron Felix, President & CEO of Moeller Aerospace, said that FactoryTwin is now “in our DNA.”

Hopkins, MN — December 2025 — Moeller Aerospace, a leading manufacturer of precision components for the global aerospace industry, announced that it has achieved a 16% increase in throughput following the implementation of FactoryTwin’s advanced digital-twin analytics and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) platform.

Moeller Aerospace produces hundreds of thousands of parts annually across hundreds of part numbers, and rising operational complexity had outpaced the capabilities of its legacy planning tools. Prior to adopting FactoryTwin, the company relied heavily on manual data extraction from ERP spreadsheets, resulting in forecasting inaccuracies, fragmented collaboration, limited visibility into future constraints, and delayed responses to production issues. These challenges made it difficult for teams to align schedules, anticipate capacity needs, or identify bottlenecks before they disrupted workflow.

By integrating FactoryTwin’s S&OP module and FactoryValidator into its operations, Moeller gained a unified digital operating environment that delivers accurate, real-time visibility across systems. The platform dynamically aggregates data and provides dependable insights into shift structures, machine and labor constraints, and potential bottlenecks. This enabled Moeller’s leadership and shop-floor teams to proactively evaluate scenarios, strengthen planning accuracy, and make timely decisions without interrupting production.

The implementation not only improved planning and forecasting capabilities but also reduced the manual effort previously required to prepare data for review. Teams transitioned from reactive decision-making to a more strategic and predictive approach, contributing directly to the 16% increase in throughput while maintaining stable inventory levels and enhancing customer delivery confidence.

“FactoryTwin helped us visualize our business in a coordinated way that’s improved just about every metric we have,” said Ron Felix, President & CEO of Moeller Aerospace. “It’s in our DNA now.”

Moeller Aerospace plans to expand the use of FactoryTwin across additional production areas as it continues advancing its digital transformation strategy.
